Performances begin promptly on Sunday, May 12th at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m, with each show lasting about 2 hours. All dancers in the first act should report to the theater 30 minutes before show time. Hair and makeup should be fixed before coming to the theater. Remember to bring all costume pieces and shoes with you. Also, NO jewelry, NO underpants, NO nail polish are allowed to be worm in costume. Absolutely no costumes are to be worn in the lobby or audience during the performance. Parents of smaller children who performed in the 1st or 2nd acts should pick them up no earlier than the intermission immediately following their dance. No food, drink, or chewing gum in the theater at any time. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
Last year some of our older dancers could not be found in their dressing rooms because they were watching other performers. Dancers must be backstage during any act that they are performing in.
The house will open 30 minutes ahead of time. NO SEATS MAY BE SAVED AHEAD OF TIME.
If you have a family member with special needs, please let us know. There is a space for wheelchairs in the theater.
Tickets are $16 each. All parents and children, including students, must have a ticket to be allowed in the audience. Please see Miss Pam is you have a child 2 years of age or younger.
DVDs will be available for purchase the weekend of the show for $35 each. You must pay in full when ordering your DVD or else the order cannot be placed.
Absolutely NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEOTAPING is allowed during the performances for the safety of our performers and to avoid disruptions in the audience.
Pictures will be taken at dress rehearsal this year as students exit the stage.
Be sure to view our summer schedule of classes and sign up!
DO NOT wear costumes to and from the theater and be sure to complete any sewing well in advance before rehearsal.
Be sure to view the schedule for the week of May 6-9 for the 30 minute extra rehearsals at Studio A. Please note this rehearsal will take the place of your regular class that week. These rehearsals, as well as the dress rehearsals, are mandatory and necessary for all dancers. The absence of one student affects all of the dancers participating. ANY STUDENT NOT IN ATTENDANCE to either the 30 minute rehearsal or dress rehearsal will be prohibited from performing in the recital-no exceptions. Be sure to wear practice clothes (NOT your costume) and arrive at least 10 minutes early.
Mandatory Dress Rehearsal
*All rehearsals are held at Collegiate School
Report to the auditorium or dressing room for group instructions first. Please be at least 10 minutes early.
Wear your tights and have your hair fixed properly before you arrive.
Bring your entire costume with you (including shoes, headpieces, accessories, etc.) Your name should be in everything that you bring with you. Remember, NO underpants, jewelry, or nail polish should be worn when in costume.
When your class is finished with pictures you may leave.
Absolutely no food or drinks allowed in the entire building. NO chewing gum allowed at any time. DO NOT eat or drink while in costume.
After receiveing instructions in the auditorium or rehearsal hall, individual classes will be sent to their assigned dressing rooms to change into their costumes. Each class will then go to the auditorium to await their rehearsal on stage.
Please read the following schedule carefully to determine when your class rehearses.
Parent Volunteers Needed
We need parent volunteers to stay in the dressing rooms during the show. These parents will help keep the dancers calm and in a group while awaiting their performance time. Also, the dancers will sometimes need assistance with thier costume, makeup, or hair.
At dress rehearsal, no student 12 years and younger may be left without adult supervision. Please make plans to stay with your child during this time.
Without our parents volunteers our program would not go on as smoothy as it does. If you feel that you could give some extra time to help during the recital performance please fill out the form in the recital newsletter or speak with Ms. Pam. This is a great way to experience the excitment of the backstage!
